PICK UP SERVICE...

GOPRO Curacao will organize a pick-up service and drive you directly to your accommodation. The next day you will meet and greet with the GOPRO Curacao staff and start an orientation. During the orientation we will cover; the island in general, the program, paperwork, payments, your questions and a scuba review.

TRANSPORTATION...

Depending on the length of you program you are able to get anything you need in a walking distance from our dive center and your accommodation. Prefer something different, we provide a shuttle ones a day to the supermarket and other shops on request. Would you like to be a little bit more flexible, you have the possibility to rent a car. We have good contacts on the island to assist you with this matter, just make sure you’re at least 23 years of age. When you are younger than 23 you could share the car with roommates who following the same program you’re, use local buses or taxis.

CURRENCY...

In Curacao we use United States Dollars and The Antillean Guilder. The exchange rate between the two currencies is fixed and is 1 Dollar = 1.75 Antillean Guilder. At most major hotels, restaurant and bars you can use Credit Card (Visa and Master Card) and Debit Card. Comparing the prices with Europe and North America, Curacao is fairly cheap. When you know the right places you will spend on average USD $10.- for a dinner including drinks. Would you prefer a little bit cheaper, there are many sneks (small bars and restaurant on the island) or supermarkets to make your own breakfast, lunch or dinner. On average you will be spending between $100.- and $150.- a week.
